Iris' bunnies

Iris' bunnies also wanted to decorate for christmas. (Iris has placed the bunnies and she took the picture herself).

Iriksen puputkin halusivat osallistua koristeluun. (Iris on asetellut puput ja ottanut kuvan itse).

Christmas tree

Iris has already her christmas tree in her room. She has decorated the tree herself. Mother's christmastree will be in the livingroom, but not before the 23rd of December.

Iriksen joulukuusi on jo hänen huoneessaan. Iris on koristellut kuusen itse. Äidin joulukuusi tulee olohuoneeseen, mutta vasta aatonaattona.

Christmas calendar

It was a big surprise for Iris when she woke up and found this in her room!! A christmas calender with 24 christmas gifts on it. It must have been one of Santa's elfs that brought this to her!

Irikselle oli suuri yllätys, kun hän aamulla heräsi ja löysi tämän huoneestaan!! Joulukalenteri, jossa oli 24 lahjapakettia! Varmasti joku joulutontuista oli tuonut tämän hänelle!

Poor Iris

Poor Iris is ill. Since she just has to rest she is bored as well. She has been watching DVDs with J. She has also listened to CDs and mother reading Mary Poppins to her. That is about it you can do if you are laying on the couch.

Iris parka on kipeä. Hän on myös pitkästynyt jatkuvaan huilaamiseen. Hän katsoi DVDtä J:n kanssa. Hän kuunteli myös CDtä ja äidin lukemaa Maija Poppanen puistossa-kirjaa. Siinä ne tekemiset sitten olivatkin, joita voi sohvalta käsin tehdä.
Luckily there is Sisu to take care of her and to comfort her.

Onneksi Sisu lohduttaa ja pitää huolta.

Name's day

Today was Iris' name's day, so mother brought her breakfast in bed. Iris got sandwiches, cookie and lemonade.

Tänään oli Iriksen nimipäivä, joten äiti toi hänelle aamiaisen vuoteeseen. Iris sai voileipiä, pikkuleivän ja limsaa.She also got a present, there was a book written by Finnish author Mauri Kunnas.

Iris sai lahjaksi Mauri Kunnaksen kirjoittaman kirjan, Koiramäen lapset ja näkki.
Sisu also attended the celebration.

Sisukin osallistui juhlintaan.

Tällaisen tunnustuksen Iris sai jo jokin aika sitten Leijonaiselta.
Iris ei paljon blogeja lue, mutta löysi kuitenkin äidin kanssa kolme kivaa blogia, joille haluaa antaa tunnustuksen. Kaikki blogit ovat nukkekoti-aiheisia ja Iriksen mielestä tosi hienoja.

Iris got this nice button from Leijonainen. Above you can see the blogs Iris wanted to nominate. All three blogs are about doll houses and Iris likes them a lot.

Crocheting magnets

Mother taught Iris how to crochete with fingers. Iris learned it right away and loved it. She crocheted many meters.
Äiti opetti Irikselle sormivirkkausta. Iris oppi sen heti ja piti siitä. Hän virkkasi monta metriä.

Then Iris and mother made magnets. They used the crocheting, carton and pearls. The magnets were clued behind the hearts.
Sitten Iris ja äiti tekivät magneetteja. He käyttivät sormivirkkausta, kartonkia ja helmiä. Magneetit liimattiin sydänten taakse.

Lego exhibition

On sunday Iris made a Lego exhibition. Mother, J. and granmother visited it.
Sunnuntaina Iris teki Lego-näyttelyn, jossa vierailivat äiti, J. ja isoäiti.

A workmachine that flies fast.

Mushrooms

Today Iris and J left mother home and went to the forest to look for mushrooms. Mother's back was aching so she couldn't join them.
Tänään Iris ja J jättivät selkäsärkyisen äidin kotiin ja lähtivät metsään etsimään sieniä.

When they came back Iris wanted to joke with mother and she told her that they didn't find anything.
Kun he tulivat takaisin Iris halusi huijata äitiä ja hän sanoi, että he eivät löytäneet mitään.Actually they had their mushroombasket full of mushrooms!
Oikeasti sienikori oli täynnä sieniä!It was nice to clean the mushrooms with J.
Sienien perkaaminen J:n kanssa oli kivaa.

Now the whole family can have many delicious meals made of mushrooms. Today it is going to be rice, chicken and chantarelles, one of Iris' favourite dishes.
Nyt koko perhe saa monta hyvää sieniruokaa. Tänään syödään riisiä, kanaa ja kantarelleja. Se on yksi Iriksen lempiruoista.


While Iris and J were in the forest mother has finished Iris' new leg warmers. She can wear them in the dancing lesson.
Iriksen ja J:n ollessa metsässä äiti sai Iriksen uudet säärystimet valmiiksi. Iris voi käyttää niitä tanssitunnilla.

The wedding celebration

Iris had the honor to be her aunt's bridesmaid at her aunt's wedding. She could have danced all evening...
Iris sai kunnian olla morsiusneitona tätinsä häissä. Hän olisi voinut tanssia koko illan...



Iris had new leather shoes on and they coloured her feet...
Iriksen uudet nahkakengät värjäsivät jalkapohjan...

First day in the school

During breakfast Iris was sooooo tired...
Aamupalalla Iris oli niiiiin väsynyt...
Iris said to mother "Do I have to go to the school?"
Iris sanoi äidille "Onko minun pakko mennä kouluun?"

On the schoolyard you could do some drawings.
Koulun pihalle sai piirtää.
Iris' first notebook. Mother decorated it with butterflies.
Iriksen ensimmäinen kouluvihko. Äiti koristeli sen perhosilla.
And a brand new ABC-book!!
Ja upouusi Aapinen!!
The first school day was nice. The first graders got new caps and a mug with flowers and big applodes when the older schoolers welcomed them. It was like a small party. Later on Iris can drink juice from the mug because every friday they get juice and sweetbuns in the school!
Ensimmäinen koulupäivä oli mukava. Ekaluokkalaiset saivat uudet lippalakit ja mukin, jossa oli kukkia ja isot aplodit, kun vanhemmat koululaiset toivottivat heidät tervetulleiksi. Oli kuin olisi ollut pienet juhlat. Myöhemmin Iris voi juoda mukista mehua, koska joka perjantai koulussa saa pullaa ja mehua!
