A Bakery

Since it was too hot to bake for real, Iris decided to do different kind of baking. Mother got a wonderful cake and some interesting cookies from Iris.
Iris ei tällaisella helteellä viitsinyt leipoa oikeasti, joten hän teki äidille vähän erilaisia leipomuksia. Kakku oli todella kaunis ja piparit hyvin mielenkiintoisen muotoisia.

A Monster

Iris went to a birthday party today. On the invitation it was said, that it is a masquarade. Iris asked mother if she could take the face painting colours and paint a flower on her cheek herself. Mother allowed that. Mother wasn't supervising Iris' doing and Iris got quite carried away and the result looked like this!!!

Iris lähti synttäreille tänään. Kutsussa luki, että kyseessä ovat naamiaiset. Iris kysyi äidiltä, saisiko hän ottaa kasvovärit ja maalata kasvoihinsa kukkasen. Se sopi äidille. äiti ei vahtinut Iriksen tekemisiä ja Irikseltä lähti homma aika lailla hanskasta lopputuloksen ollessa seuraavanlainen!!!

You can imagine that mother was NOT happy especially when it is very hard to get the paint of!! Luckily Iris and mother got the most of the paint of and Iris could go to the party dressed up like a princess, which was the original plan.

Voitte kuvitella, että äiti EI ollut iloinen, varsinkin kun kasvoväriä on todella vaikeaa saada kasvoista pois!! Onneksi Iris ja äiti saivat suurimman osan maalista pois ja Iris pystyi osallistumaan juhliin prinsessana, niin kuin alunperin oltiin suunniteltukin.

School Camp

Iris went to a school camp yesterday. In Iris' school they have one or two school camps every year. This spring Iris' class went to a beautiful seaside place near our home town. The parents were welcome to visit the camp yesterday evening.

Iris lähti eilen leirikouluun. Iriksen koulussa tehdään joka vuosi yksi tai kaksi leirikoulua. Tänä keväänä Iriksen luokan leirikoulu oli kauniissa merenrantapaikassa lähellä Iriksen kotikaupunkia.Vanhemmat olivat tervetulleita vierailemaan leirikouluun illalla.
The landscape was breath taking and the weather was just wonderful!

The most favourite thing to do was swimming -of course!

Suosituin leiripuuha oli tietysti uiminen!
Soon the camp will be over and mother is going to take Iris home. Mother is wondering how tired is Iris going to be...

The First of May Picnic

On the First of May Iris and mother went to a picnic with some friends. At home Iris and mother made tortillas for the picnic. On the picnic basket they put sweet sugary buns, grapes, lemonade, coffee and sparkling wine. It was nice, the sun was shining and it was nice to meet friends.

Vappupäivänä Iris ja äiti menivät piknikille muutamien ystäviensä kanssa. Kotona Iris ja äiti tekivät tortilloja piknikkiä varten. Piknik-koriin pakattiin myös munkkeja, viinirypäleitä, limsaa, kahvia ja kuohuviiniä. Oli ihanaa, aurinko paistoi ja ystäviä oli mukava tavata.

The First of May Masquerade

There was a masquerade in Iris' school on the eve of First of May celebration. Iris wanted to be a fairy. Iris and mother woke up quite early, so that they would have enough time to prepare. Mother curled Iris' hair and made the make-up. Iris and mother chose the colours of the make-up together. Iris also had yellow wings, but unfortunately mother forgot to take a photo of them. Oops!

Iriksen koulussa oli naamiaiset vappuaattona. Iris halusi olla keiju. Iris ja äiti heräsivät varhain, jotta heillä olisi tarpeeksi aikaa valmistautua. Äiti kreppasi Iriksen hiukset ja teki meikin. Meikin värit päätettiin yhdessä. Iriksellä oli myös keltaiset keijunsiivet, mutta äiti unohti ottaa valokuvan niistä. Ups!

Petshops are moving

Petshops had a really tuff moving day. There were a lot of them. They had such a small home that they could not fit there anymore.

Petshopeilla oli todella rankka muutto. Niitä oli paljon. Niillä oli niin pieni koti, etteivät ne enää mahtuneet sinne.
